Perfect lunch

Grilled cod.

I am on the train to NYC right now and they have wifi!! It was so frustrating to be at the hotel in Boston and have a patchy connection.

So, for the next day or so I will be catching up on posts.

For lunch yesterday I decided to try out the hotel cafe.

The menu had lots of options and at first I was considering the golden beet salad.

The yellowfin tuna salad nicoise  also sounded very tempting.

But when my waiter told me that the special of the day was grilled cod that decided it. In my neck of the woods in California you rarely see cod offered on the menu and it is one of the things I have missed about the east coast.

The fish arrived perfectly cooked. It was tender and moist and melt in your mouth delicious.

The lunch also came with some herbed rolls and tiny cornbread muffins.

And a big glass of unsweetened ice tea hit the spot after a long walk in 84 degree weather from the train station to the hotel.

I stayed at the Boston Harbor Hotel. The hotel was beautiful and the service was exemplary.

But what I enjoyed most about the hotel is that it is right on the waterfront and the views were stunning.

I am really enjoying the trip - I will show you what the hotel room looked like in the next post :-)

Happy Monday everyone!

  1. Deliciousness. Yes, I think you picked the perfect lunch. But, I must say, I think any thing on that menu would have been the perfect lunch. All sounds very yummy. :)
