The savory part of the title speaks to my love of all things savory and corresponding mild to excessive dislike of all things sweet. The savage? That would be my two dogs (delicately furred and feathery sighthounds). I make my own creations and I conjure up a modified version of the same recipe for the dogs - usually omitting ingredients that would not agree with them and adding in items that add nutrition into their monotonous diet of kibble.

Perfect pasta
What do you do with leftover soup? You make perfect pasta!
I only had a little bit of the tomato soup left. The amount left was not enough for another bowl of soup so I decided to use it as a pasta sauce.
Best idea ever!
The pasta ended up being creamy and rich and each strand soaked up the sauce. I love it when that happens.
The basic instructions:
1 serving of spaghetti cooked al dente
1/2 cup of homemade tomato soup
3 basil leaves, torn into small pieces
Stir the cooked pasta, basil and soup together over low heat until the pasta has absorbed some of the soup/sauce.
Plate the pasta and add a light sprinkle of shredded Parmesan and cracked black pepper to taste.
A perfect,quick midweek dinner.
Night, everyone!
