I know it's a component in CIGS solar cells but in the context where it appears here it seems like it's meant to be eaten! So I referred to "The Doctor's Complete Guide to Vitamins and Minerals" by Mary Dan Eades (c) 1994 and I learned that selenium (when taken in appropriate doses) strengthens the immune system and may be able to slow aging. Then I began to wonder: Am I getting enough selenium? So I checked the label on the Varsity Pack 1 multi-vitamin and mineral packet that I take each day (they're from Nutrition Express). It contains 100 mcg of selenium in the form of L-Selenomethionine, which the label helpfully states is 143% of my daily requirement. Whew! That's a relief.Thomas (aka Tom) Dinanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01234836052573567715noreply@blogger.com
